ACC Preschool

General Information

Our Preschool ChildcareCenter is owned and operated by the Austintown Community Church. It is governed by the Preschool Childcare Board of Directors and is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services. The center is an authorized child care provider for the Department of Job & Family Services in Mahoning County. The center is a practicum site for early childhood education students attending Y.S.U., K.S.U., and Mahoning County Technical & Career Center.

Any child between the ages of 3 & 10 years may be enrolled regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background. However, we must be able to meet any special behavioral, developmental, or physical needs. All preschool children must be toilet-trained by his/her first day of attendance, must have all the state-required immunizations, and have a current medical form completed and signed by a physician or nurse practitioner. All parents must meet with the school’s director, either individually or at a group parent observation/registration session prior to the child’s first day.

Registration for returning students, siblings of current students, and A.C.C. Church members begins the last week of January followed by open registration for new students. Students are accepted on a first-come basis and their place in an appropriate class is secured when a completed application form is turned in and registration fee is paid. This fee ($35.00) is non-refundable (except in cases of uncertainty about kindergarten readiness).

Note: We are closed on major holidays, the weeks after Easter & Christmas and the last week of August. If public/parochial schools are closed due to weather, our center will usually be OPEN. ¬†We may close in extreme circumstances (i.e. building conditions, weather, etc.) at director’s discretion.
