It is a pleasure to serve the Austintown Community and surrounding area as the Director of ACC Preschool Childcare. My journey began 35 years, as a parent of a 3 year old, looking for a Christian preschool experience for my daughter. I immediately fell in love with the program and when my son became old enough to attend, I became an active volunteer. In 1985 the program had grown enough that the need to hire an aide was necessary. I was honored that the director asked me. I loved what I was doing and getting paid for it was a bonus! I was encouraged to further my education and soon became the librarian story-teller, moving to a teaching position while being an assistant to the director and running the summer camp program. I assumed the position of Director/Administrator 15 years ago.
I live with my husband, Don, whom I have been married to for 39 years. We have two grown children, Danielle and Donnie. We delight in our four grandchildren, Evan 9, Victoria 5, Ava 4 (2ndgeneration alumni or attending ACC Preschool currently) and Ayden, soon to be 2. I enjoy walking along the Lake Erie shoreline, where I now live. I love preparing our rental cottages for guests and enjoy meeting new clients and “catching up” with those who visit each year. I have a passion for children and music.
Austintown Community Church Preschool Childcare program has been a part of the Austintown Community for nearly 45 years. I am proud to be a part of this ministry teaching children about Jesus and eternal life. I’m so blessed!
