Mark Nelson

Pastor

It is an honor and joy to be the Pastor of Austintown Community Church, a Church that is passionate about community and about Jesus Christ. My wife, Corrie and I, have been married for over a decade and we have four girls, Lily, Sophia, Evangeline, and Charlotte. They are definitely a source of joy in our lives. I enjoy fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, reading, watching movies, and a good cup of coffee.

I received my undergraduate degree from North Park University with an emphasis in Communications. After college I served two years overseas in Budapest, Hungary as an English teacher and missionary. After returning to the United States, I worked six years as a camping ministries director in Colorado and Michigan where I met my wife. Following, I had then the privilege of receiving my M. Div. at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in the Boston area. Before I came to Austintown though, I was a pastor at First Covenant Church in Salina, Kansas. It is my prayer as a pastor that people would know the extravagant grace of God given to us through Jesus Christ.
